Since the one on head-fi is taking too long, (sorry Arnaud) I have decided to translate one that has been on the chinese forums for awhile. I have permission from the author as long as I link to the original post and give him credit.
The original post is here:
http://www.erji.net/read.php?tid=1399845and the original author is the op (终末). Also I will not be posting this on head-fi as they have one in the works-

I recently took a tour of the STAX headquarters, and was welcomed in by Mr. Kazuo Suzuki of R&D. We listened to their 009 electrostatic headphones, and then discussed some topics relating to company. Sorry about the lack of photos, as since they are a private company, I felt it would have been impolite to take too many shots. I had a commemorative photo taken at the end of both me and Mr. Suzuki, but in respect to his wishes it will not be posted. The interview:
徐 = OP, 铃木 = Mr. Suzuki
徐:Nice to meet you, my family name is Xu. Please take care of me.
铃木:Please take care of me.
----During the tour----
铃木:Are you pointing to that model? Oh the Signature right?
徐:Yeah, the signature. The old model from 1980. After listening to your products I am very moved. Superb sound quality.
铃木:So what model did you want to try on today? The 009?
徐:Yes please.
。。。
徐:These are completely different from the 007. Very energetic.
铃木:Yes the 009 and the 007 are completely different units. The 009 is newly designed from the ground up.
铃木:What is this amplifier here?
徐:That is one of our own models.
铃木:Is it a vacuum tube design?
徐:Yes
铃木:Then let's use this one (007TA)
徐:The experience will be very different with a vacuum tube amplifier.
铃木:Yes vacuum tube amps are very different
铃木:Are you Chinese?
徐:Yes
铃木:Where were you born?
徐:I was born in the Hubei (North Lake) province. It named the "Province of a Thousand Lakes" because of its thousands of lakes.
铃木:I see.
铃木:How long have you been in Japan?
徐:Since July of last year. I am thinking about resigning from my current job and going (back?) to college to study electronics.
徐:About a year ago I had a chance to listen to your company's product line from the 1980's, and I found the SRM-T2 to be the best among them. Has STAX thought about producing another product in the same tier as the T2?
铃木:Yes we had plans, but due to the difficulty of getting materials....
徐:I understand, I have tried making some DIY amps after coming to Japan, but materials are scarce.
铃木:After being bought last December, there is a chance we will do it (make another amp like the T2).
徐:Oh I see. STAX is a very well known company even in foreign countries, and is still the sole producer of electrostats (DO NOT HURT ME I AM ONLY THE TRANSLATOR
) in the world. Everyone is filled with anticipation about your next product release, and to be honest a lot of my Chinese friends want to try out Stax as well.
徐:Is the 006TA over here pretty much the same as the old T1's?
铃木:Yes, they are pretty much the same design, but there are always people who say the older models sound better. As expected, audio equipment is still being judged in this fashion.
徐:Yeah, changing the internal components will still lead to some changes in sound.
徐:The T1S I am using now is the same. Because of severe aging in the capacitors I have changed many of the internal components, and the sound is now completely different.
徐:Does STAX have any plans of starting production facilities in China?
铃木:No, we will not. This is the will of the company, we still hope to keep the brand "MADE IN JAPAN".
Note: In a later post Xu goes on to explain that Mr. Suzuki does say Stax considered opening up some facilities in China, as this would solve their material acquisition issue
and labor costs.
