Beef Nihari

I seriously miss my favorite Paki restaurant, Pakwan, in the Bay Area (probably one OK place I've ate at down south, and I haven't found a great Paki/Indian place as of yet, even in Artesia.)

Is that the place we went to after the 2012 Bay Area Meet?

If so, yes- that was damn good.  And I will want to bring the Chartreuse there again... p;)

Yes. That's the place. I had to bring it home by learning to make one dish. Took about 6 hours.

^Wow, thanks both...

As a test & after that "synergistic pairing"- I let the residue from an evening of Chartreuse sit in a Glencairn.

Evident was the clove/star anise in the glass (the next morning).

(Spices "minus the meat" hung in the glass, "sorta like the sweater that you know you have to get dry-cleaned" after a pungent meal the night before.  :)p10 )
