There was still some mid bass bloat (Significantly improved from the mud that was the IE8 and IE80) but other than that it was essentially the treble (with some slight HD700 character to my ears) that got to me. A no go for me.

Supposedly the non-woven material used a filter (or a teabag as a ghetto mod) helps...

For anyone interested, it's the top vent which is the one which you can try to occlude in order to reduce the bass.

The typical ghetto mod for such vents is to cover it with duct tape, then make a tiny pinhole on it. Way easier than trying to push in the right amount of damping material.
Attaching a Hifiman dampener or a bit of microfibre cloth could work too, but it will be harder - wrong size.

It underperformed my similarily priced current CIEM in multiple areas so I didn't bother pursuing it any further.

Oh, what do you have?

I like the ie800 over the Heir 8.A, for example.

Assuming MG6pro sounds anything like the new Atrios, that's quite impossible. These things have notable issues in highs.

I haven't done real comparisons since I usually listen for a week straight to a new earphone so it becomes the new normal for me. The 8.A thing is just my impression from having the 8.A for a year and a half or however long it's been.

So, yes, we'll see!

The MG6Pros have more in common with the MG5 Atrio tonality than the new MG7s.
