Congrats...I've got #3.

And who said I wasn't going to watch the tubes glow while we tried some different combos and rejoiced in the thought of Super 7 Monoblocks?

I think one of you was developing a pulley system to control both volume pots at the same time?

Dang- who can I PayPal to have more smiley options?

Hmmm. S7 monoblocks. "True" bridged/balanced. Twice the voltage. Four times the power. Should I get started with the special adapters and pulley system?

Twins, guys.  A bit expensive TCO, but definitely going to get you that last 5% out of your system.

Amazing that you collectively have SN #2 and #3.  I wonder whose amp I'm gonna get to hear first.  Or will they be in the same room when it happens?

So if the BA lands high in the magic dimension, the S7 not so high for magic but higher in the clarity/control dimension with some phones, where does the EC 2A3 fit in this scheme?

I only heard the 2A3 prototype on the same day I heard S7 prototype and BA.  I made my deposit on the S7.

The 2A3 did not grab my attention and not at the price, but I understand that both the S7 and 2A3 were changed for the better and I can say that production S7 sounded FAR better with stock tubes than stock Tung Sols did on the prototype.

purrin and Anaxilus may have more experience with the latest 2A3...

Was the 2A3 the other amp at the Bay Area meet on the EC table?  Both the S7 and purrin's BA clearly sounded superior to the 2nd EC amp.  Both amps had a much more authoritative and clean sound to them, and it wasn't very close.

One of the biggest "kick myself" moments in this hobby for me was not buying Craig's prototype Nautilus amp when I had the chance. It was a one-off that was similar to the Balancing Act but had speaker taps. It looked more like the Super 7 than the BA tho.

I wish I had bought that amp. Ugh.

I mostly talk about music there. Weird.

DOn't think i heard the S7, in fact didn't know it was ther!

THe 2A3 was very nice.

Not in the league of the BA. Maybe better tubes would change that perception?

The other amp, EESC or EECS, that was a nice amp as well for a solid state. Nice change from the Eddie current sound.

That the tiny one?  If so you are being quite generous.  I think that's probably the worst amp he's ever made and he knows it.  I don't think he could figure out what to offer at that price point.  I know he plans to make a Darkstar killer which I'm fairly confident will be just that.
