Yeah, I saw that, thanks. I also saw LFF's Heed. Need to find out if either is still under warranty.

Anybody heard the Naim?

GIK Acoustic Panels.  Note to anyone building a speaker rig...set aside $500 for acoustic panels.  I didn't budget for them.  =/

i owned the Headline2 powered by a HiCap for a couple of years.  it's an Ok amp, but not worth the money. a re-capped Hicap at $1300 and $700+ for a new Headline2.

I have an odd question about Stax. Currently being tempted by the SRS3170, which is the SRM323S and SR307.

I'm actually more interested in the amp, but since the SR307 is offered at a good price bundled, I'm thinking of getting that as well. It's supposed to have the same drivers as the 407 and 507, so maybe a pad change on the 307 would make it would more similar to the 507? On the other hand, I could just get the 323 and a Lambda or something. Any opinions on this? I know the SR307 isn't mentioned very often.

I have been thinking the same thing myself except instead of the 307, the 407 for $100 more seems to be more interesting.

These months are sometimes torture. A stock HD800 for 500 euros, a basic Stax System for 400 and december hasn't even started yet. If I had the extra money...
