earplugs or white noise for sleeping
« on: October 16, 2012, 05:32:34 AM »

My pellet gun war with the crows still rages on.

However, I'm thinking of trying sleeping with some low volume ambient noise or a noise machine to see if it will help me sleep through the crows in the morning.  I noticed when I had the fan on this summer, I didn't get woken up at 5am as often.

Anyone ever done this?  Anyone know a good noise machine, or some good tracks with white noise type stuff?  It might be nice if it was a natural sound and not actually white noise.

buy a portable HEPA air filter. Kill two birds with one stone.

Hmm that's an interesting idea.  I just downloaded some really cheezy shit with toucans and chimes.   :-0   Also found some nice white noise tracks that go in and out a bit like waves.  Should do the trick I guess, but I thought I'd see what you all would say.

I usually run my air filter for white noise, usually at the max setting. Drowns out most noises, especially birds outside, but isn't so loud that it's annoying. If not that, I leave a fan running.

I always go to sleep w/ the TV on w/ a timer set.  I can't sleep well in total silence.  My mind keeps racing.

Just some of my favorites. Noise machines are lame.
