Heh, I guess it does. I listen to my HD650 straight out of my pc headphone out as well. Did a few test measurements from the same jacks. High noise and harmonic distortions everywhere.

My major sin would be enjoying to build crappy amps even more than the great stuff.  On my desk now there are four crap amps and only one good one... ;D

Onboard audio is really all over the map.  When I had a pair of HD650s they sounded pretty damn good straight out of my Asus netbook.  Better than my Cowon D2+ handled them.

I am currently listening to my headphones on a fiio E3 . I bought it a few years back & never got around to using it.
But this summer's heat(its 45+ °C) has made me wary of firing up my class A amps & forced me to be inventive. :D
