I am still sore at not taking the opportunity to pick up the 4070 CHEAP , I think it will appeal to my preferences. Of course, then I need to cross to the dark side ..dB

Would be cool to see CSD plots to see if there's any clues as to why they sound good.  Maybe they are fast and clean.  The impulse response isn't too bad despite the crazy square waves.

Maybe other people would consider the XB700 "guilty" but I think it's pretty damn amazing for cheap, closed headphone.

It's not equipment related- but punchy Telarc recordings.  I can only take them for so long, much like dubstep.  But still.

I've got a pair buried in a box somewhere.  Got them mostly for the earpads.  Does that count?

I listen to my HD580 and even HE-500 straight out of my Thinkpads HP out when I'm not in the mood to listen in my living room or let the hp amp warm up. They don't sound great (esp the HE-500), but I guess this qualifies as guilty pleasure?
