Ya, you're right. He just PMed me there, asked what my problem was, and why I'm arguing with him.

I told him exactly why and to just drop it. He will now be ignored permanently.

It's obvious he needs attention any way he can get it.

That is the Dude-way.

I've had my own run in with this character at HF.

I had a negative interaction with him too. Internally tagged him as an asshole.

I'm just going to hijack this thread with my own open letter to Marv,

I find it really hard to contact you either through email, PM or this forum. I would account it to you being very busy except that you seem to have plenty of time to post in threads that interest you. I know I ask stupid questions and my knowledge of this hobby is limited but as the face and first point of contact for a company it would be nice to be able to initiate some kind of conversation. I love the idea of Changstar being a welcoming place to noobs and some of the other members such as CEETEE have been kind enough to write me literal essays when i go to them for advice. Don't get me wrong, i really like this community and you are obviously a wealth of knowledge and well loved around here - I'd love to tap into that pool of knowledge at some point.

Regards,
Alex

Keep PM'ing me. Give it a few days. Do it again. And again. It's hard for me to keep up. This goes for everyone. I am horrible about responding to PMs and e-mail. Just the way it is. It's becoming more and more difficult for me to respond to everyone - lots of communications get lost in the cracks.

I've done something to your account which will make it easier for you to tap into the collective knowledge here.

Yup. A lot of us that know the Merv in RL are used to this. Don't take it personal, it's just his kids, wifey and 3 jobs jumping on him at the same time coupled with potential self-diagnosed ADD. He could probably use a secretary, err...administrative assistant. I just check my texts to make sure they were read.

Maybe that's what happened to Stillborn. You missed one of his pm's lol!

So Stillhart, what's up with these potshots?

I found the tone of that HF post to be quite shitty and coming out of nowhere. Considering how gung-ho he is on R2R DACs on the 2 Cavallli Liquid Carbon threads (not to mention the EtherC plugging), he knows you were right on the DACs, but still has to bash you.
