LOL, what about lesbian vampires? (that's a insider film business joke - low budget movies about lesbian vampires always break even or more).

I imagine more of a straight-man approach, although still edgy. I get a kick knowing that stiff humorless Germans at Sennheiser erupt into groans and moans whenever the name Changstar is mentioned (which is ironic of course because many here love the HD600/650/800 so much.)

P.S. Any ideas on forum name or donation of cheap laptop (to run Changstar archive server) are appreciated.

Maybe there should be a forum name contest.

the lesbian vampires thing would only work if the laptop is a mac. I'd donate my old thinkpad but it went to my wife. My other laptops are really too old.

I second the naming contest thread. Also shall I wait before posting my totaldac A1 review ?

I have a cheap Acer laptop w/ some form of AMD APU (quad core, I think?) I'd be happy to donate. Missing a HDD and OS.

I take it there is no way, or maybe no easy/feasible way, to transfer the content over to a new forum?

I actually think I have some spare HDDs I can put in there. Just can't remember if I have an OS license. The key on the sticker might actually be legit still...or I might have cannibalized it. Can't remember. It's been well over a year since I last touched it.

I can probably donate a win7 key.

You mean a laptop for server support and content back-ups? How much processing power do you think is needed? How much data do you think you have to handle at the limit? Storage hardware is not too expensive but processing power is a different story.

I have a Windows 7 DVD too.

Can be done for cheap, but if content was transferred, then Changstar wouldn't truly be dead.

I have spare HDs.

Laptop is for running old Changstar site (this one). I will make it read-only to serve as a historical archive. It will run off of my cable (expected low bandwidth)
