The only headphone i've ever bought twice was (believe it or not) Monster Turbine Pro Copper. Walked off an airplane in Dublin and left the first pair in the seat-back pocket.

I rebought K550 (if you count 551 as the same thing) twice. It's because one of my classmates had a pair of crazy outlier K550 which had almost TH900 level clarity and soundstage. I just couldn't get away with it.

I've bought the HE-500 twice. And, sadly, I've bought (and sold) the MDR-Z7 twice. Never again.

That is a habit I have found very useful. Selling gear also benefits.

K1000 (2x)
HD-800 (2x)
Paradox (because people in my house keep stealing them from me... a regular and a slant so far, but now I need a third...)

The Paradox must be amazingly good. I must ask then, how do people keep stealing your headphones?

Kids.

I make the mistake of introducing them to good music and good headphones... and the next thing I know the headphones are missing. I've tried beating them, but it's not working!

Honestly, I'm happy to see them rocking the Paradox instead of some Beats or something.  Makes me feel like I did at least one decent thing as a parent.

Etymotic ER-4 twice. I have this feeling I'm going to do it again if I get some dampers to swap in.

Did you try KSC-75 meets "art & crafts" showing them what a bit of Stratocaster skills can do?

That is my next move anyway. A semi-open KSC-75 with slightly fuller sound and headband is the best audio solution I can fix with some improvised tinkering on a low budget right now.

If your kids end up as sound technicians and sound designers they can blame/praise their father  p;)
