Now, seriously, here is an un-first-world problem. I cannot wander into a shop and see/touch/feel/hear higher[ish]-end headphones or other hifi equipment without getting on a plane to another country. 

LIAR ! All you have to do is to catch a cab and travel less than 7 kilometers to come to my house  . And I will not charge you anything !!! 

At least play "Hotel California" at 16 bit CD quality. If you dare to MP3 it an eagle from heaven might strike down on you and the Eagles of Death Metal will not be able to save you from checking in to compressed audio hell. Of course you can always pray to Them Crooked Vultures for winged rescue.
