I'm not to keen on the looks, perhaps they'll sound good...

That would be tragic.

I'd rather be seen with Sigmas on my head.

In the thread it seems they are comparing the looks of it vs the Beats (had to be photoshoped though, and that's saying something). I don't think the Beats look horrible, but I don't think they are as classy looking as a D7000 with their wood cups. They may look OK for a mid or entry level, but not for a flag ship IMHO.

I think I might rather be seen in Beats...

are you kidding? Sigma's might not look totally stylized, but at least they don't make you look like a sheeple fuck tard.

Beats > D7100, not Beats > Sigmas. Sigmas or the D7100 in public is far too easy a choice.
I usually don't care about looks at all but the D7100s have set such a new standard in fugly such that looking like a sheeple fuck tard may actually be preferable. I think I'd take the D7100 over wearing Beats in that weird "sideways on your forehead" sort of way though.
I'm still curious what they'll sound like. If they really have split with Fostex as their OEM I wonder who designed them. I'm always looking out for new closed headphones but they'd have to sound bloody amazing to make up for for how ridiculous they look...
