Penny Dreadful S2 E3. Enjoyed that episode quite a bit, and looking forward to the rest now. Really like the dedicated Eva Green character development episodes. Nice breaks from all the congested story lines of people you only give half a rat's ass about.

Alright, I've got to check this out.  Time to see if season 1 is on any streaming services...

Ugh..Wayward Pines finale. I know it was designed for one season, but there's no way I can think of possibly watching a S2 if they do one now.

Some of these one and done series are really pulling chicken-shit endings out of their asses (see Dig).

Bojack Horseman season 2: watch it (after watching the first season, it's worth it)

I'm four or five episodes into The Whispers. It's... formulaic cliff-hanger schlock that's predictable but popcorn watchable. Like Pines, but not as... its dumber.

Not Safe for Work (ongoing). The govt. sends its useless shits to to the Immigration Pathway in... somewhere that's not London. One of them is a woman who is not a useless shit, although by the second episode, you can understand why she may not have been at full capacity in the past year or two. And/or they sent her in to sort the other actual shits out.

It's funny, but depressing, but at times realistic, but there really isn't much of a strong narrative, just "fuckin' hell".

Thank You! I have been waiting for someone to report on this. I ended up liking the first season, which made me very concerned about whether a second season could even be good.

Did they keep the awesome intro, or change it, like most shows that make it to season two?

Same-ish intro: a few of the new characters inserted in the background. The second season is better than the first, especially if you binge watch it.  The characters continue to grow and develop, which is unusual for the genre.

Ballot Monkeys, it's British political satire. Apparently written and produced during the campaigning itself or something, like how South Park drops an episode focusing current events in a week's time. It's all talking and taking the piss in like a bus and stuff.

I like it. Same guys who are responsible for Drop Dead the Donkey (similar show), which would be better without the laugh track.

I might be the only person I know that liked it.  Maybe I'm just extra-empathetic, but I could really put myself into their situation and feel the stress of what it would be like to be on that humanity life boat.  The abies coming in was intense.
