Penny Dreadful Season 2  - better than the 1st season , but could be better w/o Dorian and Frakenstein i think.

Turn season two was very good. Hope you are enjoying it, Mike. The only thing that felt off was the quantity of soldiers at the battle. I assume budget restraints, but it still looked funny.

Check your tall privilege Analingus.

If I didn't care for Twin Peaks (I tried, I seriously seriously tried), will I like Wayward?

Possibly. Not like Twin Peaks at all. Just has the small town in the northwest feel is all. I actually didn't know he was that tall. He looks so much smaller next to everyone in the films.

I just watched Wayward 1-3 and I give up.

This is the usual Shyamalan: a whole lotta nothing. poo (That guy was a one hit wonder. Sixth Sense is excellent, but everything after has been utterly predictable.) Wayward seems to take its inspiration from The Village, probably his worst movie. Abandon all hope ye who enter . . .

Kiro, unfortunately it's nothing like Twin Peaks, so you might actually like it. :P

I actually liked The Village. Signs was brilliant until he actually revealed the fern aliens then it all crashed and burned.

If he's so predictable, tell us what the story is about from the three episodes you watched. I'm just curious what you think you know from that.

It's The Village with actual bad guys of some sort on the outside, whoever they are. Or it isn't. Absolutely nothing was remotely new or surprising in the first three episodes. If that's the build up to a shocking twist, I'm simply not patient enough to see it through.

But the cryptic race angle--the mock-jolly menacing black sheriff who's either a tool or another victim (or both)--is surprising and mildly subversive considering who's president. As if the writer's trying to bait the audience into thoughtcrime.

Boy that's the most contrived over analysis I've ever seen for a character who dies in the very next episode. I think you need to take a break from the AM radio...

We already know what's outside as of this week. I'm just curious to see where they take it and how they play it. Obviously the "bad guys" aren't just outside.

I'm going to guess Walking Dead isn't Lynchian enough for you either. If WP can somehow manage the nuance of TWD and BSG I'll be more than satisfied.

Unbreakable may be my favorite.

Just watched the first two episodes of Wayward.  No spoilers,  please :P

In other TV news,  I watched Daredevil and loved it.  Some painfully bad acting at parts,  but it doesn't even matter.  It was just fun.

Finally started Better Call Saul. Two episodes in- it's depressingly good.

Anyone catch the premier of Dark Matter? Not sure what to think of it yet, but I'll give it a few more.
