My audiophile preference over the years has been speakers, but I got back into headphone listening after the Can Jam at Axpona 2015.  I am 52 years old, married, with 3 children 19, 21, and 23 years old.  I am in the medical field.  It looks like there's a lot of potential to learn things about audio here.

A re-introduction (since I neglected to post here when I first registered several years ago).

Been on Head-fi (and in this hobby) since 2009, but gradually pulled away from both over the last few years.  Been lurking and randomly posting here since 2012, but find myself coming here more often recently since there is a lot less BS to cut through to find useful info.  Not sure I will ever be a proper pyrate, but I appreciate that this forum exists.

A bit about me:  I recently started up my own business with someone I met in business school.  Primary focus is architecture and real estate development, but I love great product design and will soon be expanding to that.  Classically trained pianist since age 4, but sadly haven't touched keys in several years now.  Love of music, particularly classical, is still in tact.  Only sport I like is basketball, and I LOVE it.  I was into DIY audio for a while, but quickly hit my technical limits (curse you Beta22), and now just buy premade stuff (except for cables - still love making cables).
