Hi Everybody, been lurking here for awhile and wanted to say “Thank you” to everyone who keeps the site running.

I use to post infrequently on Head-Fi back in the day under the same username and have been into headphones/audio for 10+ years.

In keeping with the pirate theme and copious amounts of alcohol talk I will leave this here...

Hi people,

I guess it's a bit late. My name is Jeremiah, a father of two beautiful daughters and new to headphones but not new to hi-fi.

A cousin introduced me to this hobby last year and it had been an interesting journey. Most surprising thing is there is a lot of younger people in headphone world, completely different than home audio! It makes me feel a bit old.

English is not my first language so I apologize if my sentence is weird.

I hope we can grow and learn together in this hobby.

Regards,
Jeremiah

Hello Folks! I've gotten onto Headphones over the last year as full size speakers never really ended up fitting my lifestyle. So far I'm really enjoying the improved listening and researching that comes along with them. Floated over here from /r/headphones over on Reddit mostly due to the antics of folks like OJNeg.

Glad to be here and hello!

Hi all  ahoy

Long time HF member here (since 2005), organised two national meets etc.  Whilst I still enjoy that site I've been finding that the regulars on CS are a far more valuable source for hype-free opinion, so a big thanks for that!

A little about me - In a previous life I was into home cinema in quite a big way, spent the best part of a year creating this fun cave - http://www.blu-ray.com/community/gallery.php?member=shockabuku.  Learned in the process that infinite baffle subs are the most wonderful things and completely ruin you for any other kind of sub bass reproduction. These days I have less space and am far more into headphone listening - mostly while working (the benefits of working from home!). I'm a fan of all sorts of music, but in particular a bit of a jazz geek, from traditional fare to modern experimental.

As you may have figured from my forum name, I'm also a MAMIL (middle-aged man in lycra) & spend way too much time riding long distances on my singlespeed mountain bikes - 24 hour racing, long-distance self supported time trialling etc.

It's great to have a site like this where sensible opinions, grounded in reality, are encouraged and hyperbole is frowned upon.  Long may it last! I look forward to doing my bit.

Cheers!  :)p5

Mark.
