And what about the Alessadro MS1e? I live in Brazil, so for me is much easier to get the Alessandro, they use a cheap shipping directly from their website (US$15 I guess) and also there aren't many options to buy Grado's internationally...

I'm interested in a Grado for a while, because some dudes seens to love it for rock, and the Alessandro should sound quite similar, I guess.

Anyone here has one?

I think Grado did a very good job on the new GS1000e. I find the treble very smooth and detailed without any kind of sibilance or graininess. Cymbals actually sound realistic and legible on this headphone without any kind of irritation factor. The midrange is natural and spacious. Electric guitars sound really good and it does vocals pretty well too. Not too forward and peaky like RS1i and not laid back or thick like the PS500. Bass isn't quite as big and solid as the PS1000 but integrates well with the music and does pick up some impact with more hours on the drivers. I have enjoyed my pair a lot and find them one of the most well balanced Grado headphones I have ever owned. Give them a listen if you get the chance and you may be surprised.

I own a pair of non e MS1 as well as a woodied pair. The Alessandro is a bit less rauchy in the upper mids and has fuller bottom end. I'd position them in between SR80 and SR125 looking at the Grado lineup. The bass warmness from the 80s and the more polite upper mids from the 125, if you can relate to this. Yeah ... Grado = Rock!

Abraço de Portugal :)

The good thing about getting the 60e for example vs ms1 or 80e is that the factor where it hass slightly less bass make them work with flats more.
