it's gonna be this dashing young man going forward: Jonathan Grado.

He picked the 325 for his glamour-shot? A hipster too far I am afraid... "I was into the most mediocre point on the spectrum of mediocre headphones my family pushes on aging and budding audiophiles before it was cool"

I love the 325IS as well LOL For some reason the brightness comments on headfi vs the 225 is BS to me because the 325i just had frequencies boosted in less annoying places :D

Yeah, I don't have any active hate for grado other than their persistent quality reduction efforts and my sadness that I will never hear any of the old Joe Grado stuff. I loved my 225i for several years with the right recordings. Its more a comment on confused publicity. Its GRADO, I don't understand why he isn't wearing something a) made of wood, and/or b) with GIGANTIC pads on it.

Also its a ridiculously pretentious looking picture. At least John is grinning like a mustachioed pedophile in his company photo.

N.B. Many QC issues with the more expensive new ones, especially PS500 and RS1. :spank: Issues include dead drivers, poor lettering, glue spots. I haven't read about any problems with the cheap ones though as less can go wrong.

I had a 325 briefly and didn't find it all that bright. The HF1 on the other hand was like a shrieking harpy trying to mate with my eardrum.

The sr60e is worth it. Got them today. They are nice with yellow senn pads with quarter mod (not reversed). Waiting for my flats as well and they are also great with bowls with tape mod.

I am going off memory when it comes to the 60 vs 60i vs 60e but a side by side comparison between the rs2i and the sr60e using the tape bowl pads reveals just how good these are for the price.
