Where do you see mention of any specific design for Yggdrasil ?   Everything I'industrial und on it, fails to mention anything about the D-to-A design.

Schiit has said it's going to be R2R, just not how they are going to get there. It's not the 1704, its not MSB OEM modules, it's not the dCS Ring DAC, and something like the TotalDAC seems unlikely for the price they want to hit, but perhaps not impossible. My guess though is they'll use something like Metrum uses, some sort of industrial R2R chip.
