Quite neutral tonally. Not as dull or dead sounding as the stock PM-1 or 2. In general more articulate and clear sounding. Smoother than stock PM-2 as well (stock pads + stock PM-2 = good bass and mids, just kinda lifeless, dull, and limp sounding...rolled off treble yet with a weird peak that made them sound rough). I took a pair to the Denver meet and they were well received. A couple folks said they still sounded a bit overdamped, but most made no mention of that.

Fantastic meet!


I haven't had this much FUN in a long time.


Winners for me was the Eddie Current Black Widow and the new Schiit stack which was there.


The best, as always, was hanging out with you guys throughout the day and into the early morning hours.

The amazing little Project Ember. This is a great little amp and I was surprised both by the price and sound quality. Just wish it had more volume.
