I set the view to be from 55dB to 100dB, 200Hz to 24KHz.

The following REW settings don't make any sense to me for now until I do some more readings, but I collected them from the old CSD thread on H-fi, and from experimenting with the views:
Total slices = 100
X = 17
Y = 91
Z = 120
Time Range = 5.2
Window = 7.2
Rise Time = 0.5
Smoothing 1/48
"Use CSD Mode" checked

When I have more time, I'll try to mold an ear to my ear shape, most likely out of thick closed-cell foam, just to see how this will affect high frequencies.

Yeah... I'd think so as well, since I heard the headphone almost exactly like that. Big bass bloom, slightly recessed but even mids, with some emphasis on strings that can sometimes sound shrill (probably that ridge at 4.5KHz), and slightly piercing (peaks @ 9.5KHz and some at 13-15KHz) at higher volume but other than that, not bad at all.

Still, will try the ear thing to see how things would change.

Thanks for the good deal on the mic, by the way. Really helped me get up and going on this. I really didn't know where to start, but now I have some concrete ideas, and at least a fairly consistent way to measure FR.

I'll try to measure a few more headphones to see how things are looking overall.

They call it "velvet", I say it's "velour". But... I guess they are kinda similar (in feel, that is).
