Yeah no kidding.  I don't think they are water resistant. Watch-out for termites..lol

I saw that! Really the very minimum acceptable for water resistance is 3 bar (it's measured by pressure, so 3 bar is 3ATM or 30m). 30 meters sounds like a lot, but it really means you can wash your hands and be okay. Anything less, such as with these woodies, and it's sketchy.

A lot of dress watches are good for 3 bar. I prefer 5 bar/50m or more. Rolex, the first company to have a water resistant watch, can actually claim to be watch proof to a given depth. They are like tanks (and some would say they look the part too much). Their 10bar/100m water proof watches are tested to 200m depth in actual watch rather than just an air pressure approximation. I'm basically drinking their koolaid in telling you this, but it's still pretty interesting, hopefully.
