Concero VS X-Sabre impressions
« on: May 25, 2013, 05:51:28 AM »

http://www.head-fi.org/t/634760/resonessence-labs-concero-discussion-review-thead/630#post_9465130

Like I said in the post, I had very little time with the Mjolnir, X-Sabre, HD800, and LCD-3 so I had to rush everything in 2 very long days... Please understand that these impressions are based off the Concero compared to the X-Sabre and vice-versa. The Concero is a very good DAC, but I can only assume that it lacks some things you can only find in some statement DACs.

Cheers

Thanks for the succinct to-the-point no-nonsense comparison. I wish more reviews on HF were like that.

Thanks, I try to be as straight-up and honest as I can. If you want, I can probably send off the Concero to you and Anax for testing, seeing how Resonessence is a small company and haven't branched out to the States as much as other companies. I believe GG asked Anax if he wanted the Concero.

Thanks for the review! I was planning on getting a Concero, but after reading it, I realized that my preference for a DAC would be something detailed, neutral and with balanced outputs. I'd like it to just get out of the way so to speak, and not be smooth like the X-Sabre or fun like the Concero. Will have to look some more now

Hey thanks. I wish that I could help you out, but unfortunately I have not tried that many high-end DACs as I'm a broke college student and not many offerings are available locally. I'm sure many experienced members like Anax, Purrin, and others will be able to give you all the pirate knowledge I am unable to provide  headbang
