You HAD to go there with Shakti, didn't you? :p

It's funny to see so many folks in both the hi-fi manufacturer and audiophile reviewer industries support Shaktis (http://www.shakti-innovations.com/audiovideo.htm). Even Dick Olsher, a reviewer who's opinions and experience I actually trust for the most part (he's a NUCLEAR ENGINEER!), endorses it. *shakes head*

Probably does a wonderful job absorbing beta radiation not so well with gamma I'd guess ;)

Apparently Stereophile (I think) has dropped the infamous stone from their recommended list.

That's the black hole effect. Don't get too close or you'll have the music sucked out. Too far and you get no effects from it.

- "As far as we can confirm, the Blackbody does not operate in the acoustic realm. This means it also works on headphones."

Quick, anyone with this and headphones can confirm its effects?!

- "Listening to the system without any Blackbody, a situation we were quite happy with before, now produced an empty feeling. There definitely was something missing from the sound."

Again, there's no real reasoning behind this. Just a general feeling that there is something missing (placebo effect?) but they can't put their fingers on it.

I wonder what it would do to my mac & cheese if I positioned it close to my microwave oven. Should TASTE better!

Ok, last cynical response to these devices. I'd like to know what science is behind the effects of these devices in the audible realm.

For me it is a safety issue.  I am genuinely worried about running into one in the dark.

No question...the most amazing audio product at the show.

How did this one slip past me? Only 499 EUR.

You need twelve for optimal results:

In all seriousness, I sometimes wonder if I'm living in some kind of strange fantasy world.

Now don't be silly, you can't smoke out of that. Clearly, the shallow bowl is meant for heating and dissolving of medicinal ingredients.

Depends on weather they are the acoustically tuned silver plated jobs. If you turn em over do they say "Monster" anywhere?
