Beyerdynamic DT235 Galaxy.

Quite a cheap, but not quite shit headphone. Very nice tweeter drivers let down by the cup design.

Cheap velour earpads. Good cable. Lots of plastic, especially small earcups.
Resonance around 10k from the cups. Good build quality except pad foams and cable jack.
Lack of bass due to bad seal from velour.
Semi on ear form factor.
Too thick grilles.

Contents:
Headband.
Triangular pads.
Pad mounting rings.
40 mm cellulose drivers.
Driver mounting rings, left with a cable guard.

Thanks for giving some attention to the DT235. I always thought they were pretty good and a bit underrated on places like HF, maybe because of their appearance.

I'd like to change the pads, but I never did find anything that fit. Slightly OT, but would drilling bigger holes into the grill change the sound in any way? What about putting vents into the cups?

I'll try major mods after I test the drivers and fix the cable. These are pretty old. The cable has had some very rough handling at the plug, which is now broken.
Probably will use a dampened Beyer T70 shell with extra damping - something for high frequencies, like rock wool - and its pads, since I was neer a fan of the fit.
These drivers should just "click" into the original T70 spider and will be easy to solder, unlike the original superthin wires.
If they don't, I'll print a mount for HE500 pads onto DT235 frame on a 3D printer and cut holes in the mounting plate, getting rid of that grille and some reflections. That will be fun.

Tyll has measured and reviewed those some time ago here: http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/beyerdynamic-dt-235-headphone

The DT235 Galaxy was just a swanky translucent purple looks version. Now they also offer DT235 in white and silver.

AS, do you have any suggestion on how to mod T70?

Dampen the shell with something better than the silly foam ring, e.g. mineral wool, identically to the T1 mod as described on Trend-Fi. Perhaps rip out the paper off the spider afterwards, which should help with extension. Cut some holes in the front foam filter or get rid of it altogether.

But be *very careful* - the wires connecting the drivers to the PCB are very thin and a total pain to solder. I haven't got around to fixing them.
