Just an way to enhance your life if you find yourself having a hard time resisting the train-wrecks and shameless shilling.


c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
  • Open the file in notepad
  • Add the following line: 74.125.224.179   www.head-fi.org
  • Save the file (with no extension)
  • www.head-fi.org is now directed to Google
This is how the file should look:

  • Open terminal app
  • Open the hosts file in the nano editor: $ sudo nano /private/etc/hosts
  • Type in your user ID and password when prompted (the sudo command requires it - it means "super user do")
  • Add the line in the hosts file: 74.125.224.179   www.head-fi.org (do not preceed with "#". the "#" means it's a comment.)
  • Save the file (Ctrl-O WriteOut function)
  • Exit nano editor (Ctrl-X)
  • $ dscacheutil - flushcache (flush any cached DNS entries on your mac)
  • Close terminal app

Do any of you remember a Head Fi member named Welly Wu? This guy had great in depth reviews at Head Fi. Once he asked Jude to temporary ban him cause he wasnb't on the boards much. When Welly came back the ban was lifted. Welly asked again, and Jude just permantly banned him.
