The guy asked for euphonic and there are about half a dozen "shit" sounding amp suggestions here.

Might as well throw some of the Chinese tube amps into the mix. Some Shanling, Earmax, Opera, whatever is coming out of there now too (including Little Dot). They all sound sh.... oh, lush!

I just sold a Little Dot (not a tube amp) and it was pretty mid-fi at best. The Earmax, there were so many accolades on it, and although it looks pretty cool, it really sounded slow driving some DT880s...I don't know if it was what most describe as "laid back" but it was slow.

I don't think these are really suggestions for "good sounding euphonic amps", rather "most euphonic amps" as the title requests

That's probably because it is mid-fi. Their most expensive solid state amp is $400, some might say a $400 amp is barely even mid-fi.

Oh yeah, Engrish.  Doh!  :-X

Portaphile, no, too accurate.  Lisa 3 too accurate.  Woo too accurate.  Everything I posted too accurate.  Except for the anal Hemholtz resonator.

I think the "anal Hemholtz resonator"(w/12v power supply) is already well known & used by many!

Proof of this can be found on any Internet Audio Forum. While this component presents music in the most sublime & euphoric presentation possible it effects the user's ability to recognize the importance of self opinion.

Risking the wrath of one of these users, the Decware ZenHead portable amp makes portable audio "shockingly" nice sounding w/an efficient set of "cans" (IEMs & my ear canals were always a no go, but I'm pretty sure the ZH will work w/ IEMs)

The BA!  :&

http://www.head-fi.org/t/575695/can-anyone-recommend-a-euphonic-tube-headphone-amp#post_7818702

I think I can now roll the BA to be big n' (pretty) luscious or FAST/clear/crispy with some wonderful gradients in between.

Maybe my idea of euphony doesn't extend to syrup/mud?

Once you get to know the output tubes, it isn't a tough chore to roll drivers for tonal balance/presentation.

Almost sold all of the 6SN7 that I didn't settle on with the Super 7. Now I need them!  :)p14
