Does anyone know how the concept of "April Fool's Day" originated ?

(Hopefully, the culprits were place in "stocks" out in public with signs asking "Who's the April Fool now") Lets see,.. an actual day designated for the "discretionally challenged" to wreak havoc on others. Boy, that's a good idea ! Most people bright enough to think & speak entire sentences have the ability to joke (or play a joke on) w/ the people they know on a daily basis !

Remember, it's amateur time out there today where "strangers" pretend to know you for their own entertainment. (Don't hurt them or yourself, it's just not worth it)
