Has anyone tried buying tubes off of craigslist?

I found this ad as I was browsing through my local classifieds

Hmm...I'd probably have to buy some kind of portable tube tester to make the most out of this.
I was actually Looking to buy some tubes for a near future Super 7 purchase.

A tester only tells you so much; to be honest if he was local I'd ask if you could hear them in an amp...

It's no worse than buying from e-bay, in fact it's probably better.

Just make sure you know the market price for anything you're looking at before you settle on a price.
