i honestly feel that the plastic material, specially the headband, used for the hd700 is the same plastic used for an hd239...

Still never got around to hearing these on a decent rig. I did check them out at Hong Kong International Airport but that doesn't really cut it does it :p.

They don't need a decent rig.  That was kind of the point of making them.  They just forgot to include the decent sound.  :&

Haha nice.

Well for what it's worth, I was far more intrigued with the Momentums that were next to them. They had comfy pads too. Soft and squishy.....  :)p8

Went straight up to Sennheiser's booth to listen to these at the show.  The rep was looking at me funny, like "you do realize you can listen to the HD800 to the right?"  Was not good.

I heard them at a meet, which probably wasn't ideal, but the sibilance was clearly evident and quite painful.
