Anyone have or have listened to, and can draw comparisons, or even better, compare them to non-Freqphase JH13/16?

THE JH13 FP are good.  Not as linear as the UERMs, but the slight midbass hump doesn't ruin my enjoyment of them at all.  Unlike the previous JH13's which were "sweeter" sounding (slightly warmer and slower sounding) the new ones have a cleaner sound, while still being tilted slightly dark.  I'd buy whichever you can get a deal on at the time.  The first gen JH16's were way too bassy (sounded about as bassy as the TH900), so I guess if you're a serious basshead and don't want to EQ to get it, that would be an option as well.

I need an IEM resolution monster, a la HD800.  UERM is still the closest I've heard.  Though I can probably wait as my current portable rig has yet to exceed the UERM.

I have the Freq-Phase JH16Pro and JH-3A with the adapter that lets you use them with other amps coming my way by the end of the month. I'm not familiar with the original JH16Pro enough to offer a comparison however.

I took advantage of their New Years sale (was lazy sending off my impressions until recently). Basically got the JH-3A for the price of the JH16Pro alone.

I mostly talk about music there. Weird.

While I love my JH16 FP, I would not compare them to the HD800s in terms of resolution.

The Black Friday deal was better (20%) but the New Year's sale was a close 15% if I'm not mistaken.

Now I just need to find a DAC/headamp that is a comparable/better pairing than the JH-3A. I sort of regret not going that route.

Tried Hifiman's latest? It's cheap too. UERM (I mean the demo) is a bit ringy in midrange and not as impactful in comparison. On the other hand, RE-400 are reverberated slower decay and doesn't isolate nearly as well. Both are darn neutral. Unmodded RE-400 is slightly dark (fixed by removing the damper), while UERM has slightly boosted highs.
I can say with 100% certainty that RE-400 beat Hifiman HE-500 (both minor tweaked: RE-400 by removing the dampers and tip rolling, HE-500 with different pads and no screen) in everything except tactility of the bass, where orthos are unparallelled. Including soundstage.
They do need a source capable of some voltage output though - sensitivity is not too high. Other than that, easy to drive.

Yes, a few times.  It's no contest, sorry.  It's good for the price but not even ToTL in resolution.  The 272 is better than the RE400 in that regard.  I'm going to disagree on bass impact as well.  Frankly, good BA's tend to sound punchier and the UERM is no exception when driven well.

Caveat - unless he changed the tuning.  They were prototypes.

I'd have gotten a secondhand UERM or the JH13fp if UE/JH does their own reshelling.

I hate the idea of using a 3rd party remolding service :(
