Wait...what? Misheard Lyrics

This happens to me semi-frequently, as I don't pay particular attention to lyrics. 


Today it was in the standard "Sway" (some may know it from Buble, I was listening to Julie London though:


Lyrics heard:


I can hear the sound of violence/long before it begins/Make me thrill as only you know how/Slay me smooth/Slay me now


Actual lyrics:


I can hear the sound of violins/long before it begins/Make me thrill as only you know how/Sway me smooth/Sway me now


...I don' know why I even thought the word was "slay" if the title was "Sway", guess I always just shut my brain off when processing. 


I'm sure this happens fairly often, and thought it might be nice/weird/funny to see what else people have come up with.

I always heard the last line as "Plant my lips where your necklaces close" and never understood what it meant. 

I ended up showing the song to a friend on Youtube with lyrics that show up in the video. Watched it and finally realized it didn't make sense because I didn't hear it right. Necklace is closed... the back of the neck!

Now the chorus is much more romantic.

Let's see...just recently finished watching Battlestar Galactica with my GF (my 4th time watching it...new series, not original). I'm thinking of the title track song that plays during the opening credits...thing. I believe it's in a foreign or made-up language, but there's one part that I always mishear as:

"Heard it on the radio...bought a goat...let it outside your mind..."

I get a kick out of it.

Every time I hear this on the radio or in a store I have to laugh. Did they seriously not hear this during recording?
