You must have a really rigid rectum with advanced muscle structure to pull that off.  Maybe a thin and light booty as well damped to a heavy torso?
:)p13 More or less, just a matter of muscular control. I'd save you the explanation   p:/

Clementine is a really nice alternative, more like foobar2000 without the customization part IME. for OS X (and a few other platforms) of course. it's not usable with your iDevices though, (AFAIK) but does play FLAC at least. I like it.
SQ-wise I don't really want to try to notice any differences... but sounds great to me.

Can it convert from FLAC into ALAC? I've checked their website and mentions transcoding and AAC but not ALAC.

I used the work computer as the test bed, and so far, no problems.

Sonic Studio dropped another Amarra upgrade today.  The current version is 2.4.5.

Was not using anything else than lists in the past version but, truly, the new interface is compelling to use. Currently, I am using the browser view pane on the left (hidden by default) and grid view for the main pane and like to browse various playlist by albums, expand anyone and queue up a song or the whole album.

Audirvana+ works flawlessly with itunes'11 on my 11'MBP and it has completely replaced Pure Music (it does integer mode for one).

Avoided the latest iTunes for the negative impressions. Have just upgraded and am finding it quite intuitive.

Why does every thread about an apple product turn into random apple vs pc wars?  I could give a shit about computers, I just use them to do things.  Apple is easier for me.  That's about it.

(not really directed at anyone, just saying.  Feel free to bash away  ;) )

i still own a PC but I find that macs actually sound smoother. More Juicy and Delicious like Linux

Forgot to report back that Pure Music and 11 are working fine together now.

itunes 11 can suck my ballsack.  Once again, Apple releases a major update that makes a program substantially worse.  I can't remember the last time they actually improved something.  They turned Final Cut Pro into a prosumer piece of garbage.  It seems like if you want to do more than listen to the newest Justin Bieber album in the cloud and make home movies of your kids, Apple doesn't cut it anymore.  All they care about is catering to the lowest common denominator.

"song" view is the only realistic way to navigate a real music library.  And there is now zero album artwork in song view, they just removed it.  WTF.  All that time updating album artwork for a little thumbnail the size of a penny?  And in all other views, you can't select text, so you can't type the letter of the artist's first name and be auto-scrolled down.  In artist view, it took me nearly a minute to find Sigur Ros.  I had to scroll through every single album in my collection.  Even in "Genres" you still have to just scroll through ever single album in that genre.  In genre view, when you type a letter, it auto scrolls to the genre with that letter.  Thanks Apple.  It was real hard to navigate my list of 6 genres.  And I love endlessly scrolling through albums waiting for every single album to load artwork.

As it is, I see no advantages to this new layout.  Even small things just take longer.  It now takes me 2 clicks to see rented movies, when in itunes 10 it took 1 click.  You now have to click on "movies" and it doesn't save the last sub-category you were on, so everytime you go into "movies" you have to click "rentals".  But man, at least I don't have that dreadful "rentals" category making my sidebar look cluttered!   ::)

The only way to see album artwork in song view is to open it in a separate window, but this window happens to be the movie window, so as soon as you watch a movie, it gets resized and moved.  So you can't just park this artwork window in the bottom corner of your screen.

Such a fail.  This has to be one of the worst app updates I have seen.  Why some jackass engineer thinks I want to stare at a spreadsheet with his favorite new font and fancy shading instead of my album artwork is beyond anything I can comprehend.  The sad thing for Apple is that the second I heard about itunes11, this is exactly how I imagined it would be.

I'm honestly kind of surprised that none of you reported how shitty this was, the only reason I reluctantly updated was because I was troubleshooting something and figured I should update all my software, and it couldn't be too bad if all of you like it.

This is what I would like to see in itunes 11, and something that would actually take advantage of the new horizontal menu options, which get rid of the sidebar and give you more space.  This took me about 10 minutes.  I'm not sure why the richest company on earth can't hire an engineer to figure out something that is actually usable.

Of course I had to copy the genre column twice, but the red text gives you the idea.  And I would loose the artwork in the genres column, totally useless and just takes up space.  I would also give you the option to have no artwork in the artists column because it takes a long time to scroll when it has to load the artwork.

I would also give the option to customize what shows up in the top horizontal menu bar.  I would add "movies" to this, next to playlists, so you don't have to go to a separate drop down menu to to access something you use all the time.  Like an internet browser with the bookmarks toolbar vs menu, you put the stuff you use frequently in the horizontal bar, and the rest goes into the drop down on the left.  Add other customizable options like deciding what tags have columns, and how many columns there are, etc.  Maybe classical music listeners would want a "composer" column.  With the added space from not having a sidebar, there should be room to have additional columns.  You could also have the option to have no artwork in the right side album column, to save room.

Forgive the ABBA.  It's just the first band in that genre.  I put in a Sigur Ros album cover to make up for it hopefully...  Though I must say I use Dancing Queen as one of my test tracks to test for harshness in that opening piano attack, test for air/treble in the cymbals and test for bass, this song has a unique treble and bass sound that can be revealing of certain colorations.

Did it occur to you that not everyone might find it to be "shitty?"

Every version of iTunes since version 1 has sucked to some extent, and each version sucks in new and different ways.  One either gets used to it, or one stops using iTunes.  It's still better at managing large music libraries than any alternative of which I'm aware (SQ is another matter, of course).
