Was not using anything else than lists in the past version but, truly, the new interface is compelling to use. Currently, I am using the browser view pane on the left (hidden by default) and grid view for the main pane and like to browse various playlist by albums, expand anyone and queue up a song or the whole album.

Audirvana+ works flawlessly with itunes'11 on my 11'MBP and it has completely replaced Pure Music (it does integer mode for one).

That's encouraging.  Is there a way to browse by genre -> artist -> album ?

At first I was really disappointed by them cutting out cover flow  :'(

But then I read this great article on CNET http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-57557105-263/how-to-improve-sound-quality-in-itunes/ and now I'm enjoying itunes 11 moar than evar!  headbang

Why does every thread about an apple product turn into random apple vs pc wars?  I could give a shit about computers, I just use them to do things.  Apple is easier for me.  That's about it.

(not really directed at anyone, just saying.  Feel free to bash away  ;) )

I gave up using iTunz.

I now run all music thru Decibel.
I did try Pure Music but the interface is a bit weird and while it does provide some additional info that isn't what I use the app for.  I want as ideal a sound stream as possible.

And Decibel is WAY cheaper.

Yeah its very basic but it handles FLAC and just about everything else.
So no more needing to use Max to 'convert' anything.

And without all that glitz and confusion as to where the files actually reside etc., well color me happy. AND it plays (if enabled) the music from ram and not the HD.  A big +++

LOL, well I wasn't really bashing Apple's system with my comment (although I do prefer Windows, but that is off-topic). It is just a shame that Mac users can't bask in the awesomeness of Foobar2k like we PC users do :)

You must have a really rigid rectum with advanced muscle structure to pull that off.  Maybe a thin and light booty as well damped to a heavy torso?

Clementine is a really nice alternative, more like foobar2000 without the customization part IME. for OS X (and a few other platforms) of course. it's not usable with your iDevices though, (AFAIK) but does play FLAC at least. I like it.
SQ-wise I don't really want to try to notice any differences... but sounds great to me.
