Stupid manager/superiors/seniors...
« on: November 05, 2012, 01:36:46 PM »

It's getting more and more annoying. For the time being I work in the catering and hospitality sector via an agency and I often encounter people who are positioned to be in charge of the 'job' but just can't communicate when necessary.

This morning I received an e-mail which mentioned that I didn't do well enough. Well in the situation in that moment my so called seniors/managers were better at chatting and picking their noses than communicating their instructions, intelligence and expectations for the day. I detest those situations.

One of my former work places had this chef personnel who was always nitpicking and complaining when things didn't go well and he was quite annoying because of that trait. Yet because of that I was so determined to silence him to stupidity by overmatching his work expectations I learned a lot. At one point he almost blindly trusted me.

I just had to get this off my chest. My disgust for professional nose picking socialites is sometimes too much to bear...

It never works.

My work place is like Chinese whispers. The best was about me screwing someone else I didn't even know. HR complaint FTW.

I feel ya. You find them in almost every work environment. You just have to learn to deal with and move along. You can't let it get to you too much or else you'll find yourself taking problems from work home with you and that never makes for good time off.

The preceding statements were true.

Every once in an while I just disappear and recharge by taking my time to enjoy the simple things in life.

I've gone through 60+ hours work weeks and burn-outs before. My tolerance for certain situations is just decreasing and my instinct for trouble has sharpened.

I don't care if I have to work with a piece of  poo. Just communicate before I have to needlessly improvise...
