I need some serious help with a "study". Please vote. Part 6 of 7. I respect everyone's opinion here on ER. There will be seven parts. What is your opinion of the Beyer T1

Also, we are just talking sonics, price should not be factor.

HONEST ANSWERS DESPITE HOW I MAY PERSONALLY FEEL ABOUT IT ARE APPRECIATED.

I sold of the DT990s before buying the T1s. I liked the DT990s for the comfort and the fun V-shaped response and I wanted to like the T1s. Unfortunately they didn't deliver and got a total of maybe 20 hours head-time in the two years I owned them. Fortunately, I sold them off without too much of a loss. And I feel like an ass for not informing the buyer of purrin's graphs (mine were the seriously wonky ones), but caveat emptor.

Were you informed of the wonkyness when you bought them?  I think that's just a risk you have to take when you buy Beyer.  Not really your fault or responsibility.  Unless they were defective, but it doesn't seem that way.

Hey, we all know that's part of Beyer's QC and there have been numerous posts I've made in HF about it, so it's not a secret. For all you know, the buyer is probably lovin' it.

Being that he didn't even leave any feedback, I doubt it. Though on the upside it might prevent him from buying more headphones based on price and head-fi reputation alone.

I bought these after the usual hype from the likes of Skylab, MH, and a few others kept harping on them.  I do not consider them in the same class in the Audeze and HD800.  They are thoroughly middling to my ears.

More "meh" than "wonky" for me when I heard them.  I was too busy thinking "I don't get it" to think they had any glaring problems.

I wonder how much QC issues play into this.

I've heard several and they were all warm, bright, and metallic.  All at the same time.  Kinda like when my Dremel's cut off wheel shoots a stream of aluminum particles in my face.

The soundstage was kinda nice but you might as well just angle the drivers in you DT990 the same way.  That will probably sound a lot better.

Must explain why they are great 'all-rounders'!
