JVC DX-1000, Thoughts?

If it's anything similar to the DX700, then DO expect the warm signature you probably want. But as mentioned, this one also has big bass. The one thing I didn't like wasn't related to sound but appearance and possible build quality. The DX700s are BIG as heck and I imagine the DX1000 is just the same or maybe even bigger. Also, there's some plastic near the headband that's prone to cracking. In fact, unless new, most of the DX700s I've seen have similar kind of cracking on the same places.

Anyway, pretty sure the JVCs WILL deliver better isolation and a warmer sound than the THx00/Dx000 if that's what you are looking for.
Anyway,

I hear it like the charts, largely. There's a romantic warmth to the DX1000 vs. the more aggressive TH600.

What the fuck is with the comment on the TH600 page??

Those pages are full of spam... (comments section). Seems to be that way since ever...

Anyways, is that still the consensus? May just spring for the Blackwoods if that's the case (or the Ether C).

I searched & found a few sales threads & this thread.
Can you link the thread were they commented on it.

Misread the thread. It wasn't actually Marvey who said they such, he was asking the question rather.
