Maybe you should get one of those home ear impression kits and make a copy of your ear canals for the measurements.

Anyone know if those can those be made deep enough?

They can but you need a string to be placed near the eardrum to pull out.

I've got a few kits lying around and my own impressions too from Westone.

Purrin might be able to ask UE to borrow his for a day or something since they already have it scanned on file.

Cool.  Looks like it might be possible then.

A good start on measurements. I don't imagine the final draft will be all that much different. That mirrors my listening impressions pretty well based on other headphones I've heard and comparing the charts.

Fantastic!!!!!  THANK YOU.  Please keep going.

This will help match larger headphones to the RM.

5-10k drop would not be a surprise...the 12-16 bump must help keep things clear.

(Would be interesting to see how different the measurements can be on the same pair, and on the two pairs you have down there.)

Not quite, it won't be a direct translation for obvious reasons.  As close as one might get I'd never feel comfortable concluding much using a direct comparison of FR between IEMs and Headphones.

I guess it just shows that no peaks in response at 6k means you don't need to put foam in them.

And I guess we already knew that... ::)

those defiantly look diffused-field to me especially around the 5k region. don't know why but actual diffused-field headphone/earphones always has slight peak there but, they defiantly measure very well FR wise.

yup, it's used to give the headphones/earphones ''air''. it does help with clarity and believe it or not bass ''dispersion'' as well.
