Future Sonics Spectrum Series G10
« on: June 20, 2015, 04:40:56 PM »

I wrote a little review of these here:

They are nice, sturdy stage monitors with a full sub-bass, clean midrange and treble for $219.

Whoa, these are kinda cool. Glad FS isn't going down - the Atrio was so insane. I feel like they could make an intense hybrid using that baby as the bass driver. Can you imagine TWFKs with Atrio subbass?

The G10 is a similar signature to the Atrio, except with improved detail and control, more treble presence for better balance, and better strain relief.

So, yeah, they are definite competitors to anyone under $400 or so.

I thought the Atrios sounded like shit personally(impressions) but my friend enjoyed his FS customs a lot(he tends towards a smooth euphonic siggy) so I'm hoping it will head a little more in that direction.

I remembered my last Atrios was kinda sub bass heavy, mid bass light, very recessed vocals. Perhaps fitting, perhaps source (back then only a Sony $150 DAP), perhaps ears (very early experience in audio gears), perhaps perhaps.

Well, hopefully I would have the chance to try this one. I'm still looking for euphonic sounding IEM. Smooth bass, smooth mids, smooth treble, just relaxing sounding stuff.

The G10 is going to have deep subbass and the midbass will not bleed into the midrange. The midrange will be clear and monitor-like, not laid back. The treble is present and clear, with the spikes inherent in BA-based earphones. It's more of a stage monitor sound built on a well-integrated foundation of sub-bass and not a hyper warm, laid-back one.

Certainly, these do better in balance, detail and extension if you give them a good amount of power.

With the spikes inherent in BA phones? Do you mean without?
