Looks good!, i think it was launched in Munich last month.

i have had some Aune products over the years, all proved reliable and very honest.

At the moment i have the S16 Dac (loaned to me by a friend).

Sounds superb for the price.

Looks very interesting. Will drastically reduce room noise floor down to zero vs fan based computer based audio servers.

So does an iPod. Really though, you can build a windows based server for pretty cheap that is also silent. I'm always skeptical of these things.

iPod doesn't have the ultra low jitter clocks nor the support for dsd and flat.

With a remote control, it makes things easier to switch songs. Windows server has its advantages on format support and streaming and storage options. But windows server runs on more power(more heat) and usb interface still has electrical noise issues. this aune has electronical isolation and a less noisy(Emi/rfi) arm cpu.

It's not really that expensive too, it's just around the usd500 mark before shipping.

Might be a dumb question, but isn't the nanosecond range for digital jitter pretty poor?

Yes, 1ns would be considered horrible levels of jitter. Even the worst USB converters like the M2Tech Hiface run in the 600-800ps range. The best ones are sub 50ps.

Tiny fanless boxes are a dime a dozen these days, there are loads of them, and running Atom or ULV core processors, they use very little power. You can install VortexBox or Daphile on an internal M.2 SSD and you're good to go, and control everything from your phone.

Photos on Chinese forum, shows it's using femto grade clocks crystek chd957, which should be very low on clock jitter. Wonder why caused so much output jitter.  Output Isolators?

That has to be a mixup, I think a lot of DACs would have trouble locking onto a signal with ns of jitter.

This is probably the biggest thing in its favor. It's not hard to hit $500 on a custom-built fanless PC (though you can also spend ~$300 with good results). If you get one, do write about it and let us know how it is. Honestly I'm all about having better digital transports but all of the market speak (made even harder by some questionable translations) and the super low measurements make me think it's just another Sabre in a box.
