Looking for member in the area with either or a Gustard U12 or similar unit (Offramp 5 - Channel Island Transient MKII - PS Audio Wave) that has HDMI I2S output so I can test my Wyred4Sound DAC2 I2S input?

Thx

I committed to Massdrop pricing if $139 for the U12.  Just to let you know it might be pretty cheap to try...

Thanks CT.

The reason for me trying to test my unit right now is because I bought and received an Audio GD DI-2014 and it does not work with my DAC2 I2S despite the fact that the pin configuration is the same. I suspected that the Audio GD unit may not have been correctly built. My DAC2 does not show a signal coming in (or can't lock the signal). I am in contact Kingwa at Audio GD but both of us can't troubleshoot without additional equipment. In my case, either another DAC2 or a Gustard U12 which has proven to work with DAC2. I have been in touch with another member on Head-Fi, he has both DAC2 and the Gustard and they both work together.

I ordered a Gustard U12 from China yesterday but it won't get here till about 2-3 weeks from now, I just want to test my unit or the Audio GD unit to find out which is not working right. My bet is that the Audio GD did not implement the pin configuration properly so it can't communicate with the DAC2. Other outputs on the unit work fine.

Thanks for your comment and suggestion.

Ah, okay...then you found a solution.  If I end up with one or you end up with a U12 that you don't need, one of us should send to Marv to test.  Would like to know how it does vs. OR5.  :)  Good luck with your Audio-gd!
