Modi 2 Uber + Wyrd vs. Optical?

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone's had the chance to compare the Schiit Modi 2 Uber both via USB + Wyrd and via optical. If you can do optical, is it worth forking over the extra money to get the Wyrd and go USB? I ask because I think my computer has USB issues from time to time (which presumably would be solved either by using a Wyrd or by going optical).

yeah use USB over optical when possible, optical receivers are usually pretty poop, especially on cheap shit
