DAC with a power switch...stupid question
« on: January 07, 2015, 10:37:35 PM »

Hey all,

I'm quite confident I know the answer here (yes), but I'm going to ask anyway.

All of my past DACs have been USB powered, so it's never something I've thought about.  With the Modi 2 U, should I leave it on 24/7 or turn it on and off the way I do with the amp?

I'm assuming it's just like a laptop/desktop which is something I do leave on all the time.  Just asking out of extreme paranoia.

Thanks!

I tend to leave stuff on that doesn't suck more than 30 watts of power while idling.

And no, I don't think Schiit is putting a power switch on the front of the Yggy.
