Yes, the mids on the Audeze can be a bit dry as I described.  But this rev2 has really beautiful midrange.  Sounds almost like a Yamaha!

I am just nitpicking, they both sound great.The mids on modded LCD-2 are not bad at all, the NAD is just a little more forward which I prefer.
In any case, I prefer the HP-1 to either of them. :P
