These are incomplete and will submit more in due time, for some reason the Iphone 6 tests much better than the 6 Plus, I did baseline measurements to verify that my rig ain't broken but really perculiar. Wonder what happened? I suspect lazy design for the 6 plus.
No subjective comments as I have not heard it, nor have plans to. Phone was my uncle's.
Setup:
Iphone 6 Plus full volume-> 24/48 tones via Music-> audiophool cabling with copper foil shields-> RCA->XLR ->EMU0404+Linear PSU-> Laptop
THD, something is up, low THD like in similar test of the 6 in other parts of the interwebs but for some reason some noise and shit is going on. Similar results with other frequencies like 400hz.
Fantastic low level resolution, if only THD ain't like shit.
Although a bit noisy, the good low level resolution enables the Iphone 6 plus to resolve the 16 bit -90.31dbFS 1khz tone 3 quantization steps with ease. Pity about the rest though.
Jitter, pretty fantastic. Green trace is 24 bit, yellow is 16 bit test tones.
