Hi,

I'm a computer geek/software engineer who recently has been downsizing my system after buying too much Woo and other gear. I had the TEAC 501 DAC and decided to buy the Magni 2 Uber and Modi 2 Uber after lurking here for a while. I'm so glad I did!

I'm super into gaming computers so might check out those areas of this site, too. There's a lot more content here than when I started lurking.

I've been studying sound for a while and I'm looking to learn more from you pirates. I'm thinking of getting a focusrite 2i2 and trying to recreate some of the measurement rigs I see posted so I can understand the measurements better.

Thanks,
Pasta lover

Hi all. Liked the objective/subjective synthesis and banter so much I thought I'd join. This forum has a wealth of information and a no BS approach. Awesome.

Welcome bonehead.  :)p4  Glad to see you get it.

Hello, I'm Ferrum from Sweden.

I've had many different system over the years mostly large scale HIFI based around ATC & Tannoy speakers in my dedicated room. As my sons became teenagers and kicked me out of my room with their computer gibs I had to settle for a scaled down headphone rig in the living room. Nothing fancy but OK by me.

Here are a few pictures

My current DAC/amp

My ATC rig in my room with all kinds of acoustic treatments.

My older Tannoy rig

@Ferrum

Very interesting rig you have there! Are you driving the 100s with a pair of 6c33 in parallel SE?

Ps I think you have the stands facing in the wrong direction. Or you prefer them this way?

No, the speakers are active, ATC SCM100 ASL. The 6c33's are "leftovers" from another project I had. I have a friend who builds the Audion amps in Sweden and these were an experiment with those tubes by him. Parallel 6c33 in both mono blocks. Really nice  :P

I sold them a while back.

cheers
