Q Acoustics 2010i review
« on: May 11, 2014, 03:26:48 PM »

I think I may have done a bit more shilling than I usually do... But I really love how these speakers sound.

Quote (selected)
To sum it up, the 2010is have a neutral frequency response that is well extended in the treble but does not go down very low in the sub-bass. Given the limitations of the driver size, cabinet size, and price, I think that is a perfectly fine. These speakers have great off-axis response and are not picky about their location, but are best served with some breathing space. The 2010is have great soundstaging and imaging for their size. They are very transparent of their sources and easily reveal the differences between dacs, so they do deserve to be matched with good gear. Given their non-fatiguing nature, they are forgiving of lesser recordings but really shine with better recordings. Drive them with a decent amp and source, and in return you get sound that is hard to beat in its price class. When you find that you have the extra money and room, you can just upgrade straight to the Concept 20s for just $300 more.

Nice looking little speaker!  I might have to check them out while I'm in the UK.  I've been thinking about some speakers for the kitchen...

Definitely should, they're not too fussy about their placement. You can probably grab a little Dayton dta-120 to power them too.

Very nice Gunner thanks for the review.  I am glad to hear off-axis response is good as I would like to use these with my TV/PS4.

I can get them for $289CDN shipped (about $260 USD) which seems like a no brainer.  We shall see if I have any takers on my D2, otherwise that is getting re-purposed for a 2010i system.

Thanks! And glad I could help. Do you live in Canada? If so, that's a great price for the 2010i. Awesome price on the Anedio D2 as well, GLWS! It would eliminate the need for a pre-amp, and of course the 2010i scale very well to take advantage of the D2 ;D
