Winny is the guy who designs all the hifiman cans + the Jade.

Dubstep Girl agrees very much & profusely so!

They look sort of like a cross between the 009 (headband) and the HE90 (cup shape)... Did ya try 'em? Do tell?

Yeah the new hifiman phones (check out the HE560/HE400i) all copied the stax headband (and as a result they look ugly as poo) The HE90 cup shape was in place since the Jade (which tried to emulate some aspects of the Orpheus).

As for hearing these- nope. I knew about them for awhile but was told not to leak.. cat's out of the bag now. I do trust in Winny's ears though.

Interesting, so they were able to reveal a prototype at CES (or is this not at CES?) after all, I'd have thought it'd be later.

I can't tell you how happy I am as a Jade owner to see a proper strain relief on those. Hopefully the wiring wont poke through on the insides of the cups this time too. Most of all, I hope the stators wont buzz and crackle.

This is my most anticipated new headphone right now. If they can sound at least as good as the originals (hopefully better) with an improved build, they'll be pure win. Maybe enough to get me to put down my ESP 950.
