Wow, I had no idea Airbow was still modding Lambdas! I thought the last one was their modded 404. I'd love to hear their take on the 507. Hmm. Will need to contact some of my overseas friends and ask around.

Also, sorry to be an ass, but those HD800s.... have to be one of the most cringe worthy colourware jobs I've seen. LOL. The Orpheus and Omegas are as pretty as ever though.

Oh, and I think I know exactly which L3000 that is in those shots, as in who sold it to who due to its missing the blue felt box and using a suitcase instead. Small world.

Thanks for sharing these pics. I still keep the Q010 around, one of my few remaining dynamics, but the HD800 is kind of on another level in my opinion. Still an awesome headphone in its own right though. The other day I wondered what some of the mod-happy pirates might be able to do to improve it.

Btw, are those one of my old Omegas?  I stored them the same way (two pieces of bubble wrap in those spots).

Gloves were provided by the shop owner. Most of this stuff was mine and he didn't want there to be damage/scratches to the goods. Very nice of him to be so thorough.

Nice catch on the thumbs up Tari. Didn't think anyone in the states would get that reference... and no he was not there. We did take a group photo on the last day though, with everyone doing Uncle Fe's signature thumbs up pose.

As for the HD800s, you are completely wrong MF. That's all sharpie  :)p13 (not mine), and they certainly are.. unique. As for the L3000s I got that set from maxfazer on HF. The Qualia's are harder cans to "get right" than the 800, but when done well they are a cut above.

Those Omegas are not your old pair Milos, but here's to great minds thinking alike  :money:

Uncle Fe!  Totally forgot his handle.  When you got maxfazer's AT's did they smell like cigar smoke and wet hair?  Everyone I've ever talked to has the same story with gear they buy from him.

I would definitely prefer people treat my gear reverentially at meets over some of the horror stories I've heard.

What are your thoughts on the 307A? (You have a BA, right?  That would make an interesting comparison.)

I find that hard to believe, but I could see that depending on the level of 'stockness' of the 800 in question.  What amp were you guys using to get the Q10 and HD800 'right' respectively?

Romy, if you ever make it to a shipping center, I'd love to see what I could do w/ the Q10.  Plus my current S7 has driven everything well including the orthos, so I doubt the Q10 would be a problem.

I just did a quick poke around with no luck... are there any measurements floating around for the Q10?  I know I've seen references to measuring bad but sounding good, but I can't seem to track down  set of measurements.  Just curious, this is a headphone I've never heard.

I believe these are Tyll's original measurements, but they were never added to the datasheets for fear of them not sealing properly when measured?  Found them on Lunatique's blog, you guys might remember him for hyping the LCD's to high heaven a few years back.
